Freya
Freya hats marry traditional craftsmanship with modern artistry in a collaboration between the brand's women founders and the women artisans in Ecuador who weave them by hand. Each straw hat is made from Toquilla straw which has been used for over 3,000 years by the indigenous people of the region to form hats for protection from the harsh equatorial sun. The brand's wool hats are also made by hand in the U.S. and Ecuador using sustainable, cruelty-free wool. Freya hats are certified at UPF 50+, blocking 98% of the sun's harmful UV rays.
